Moon Jar 9

Thrown on the wheel, I created this one of a kind jar/ vase using dark stoneware with a white lava glaze.

Dimensions: H 23 cm (9 inches) x W 17 cm (6.7 inches)

Shaped using traditional Korean techniques learned during my residency with master ceramic artist Kwak Kyungtae, these moon jars explore light — and all the light we cannot see. Each vessel is formed from recycled dark stoneware clays and finished with ash glazes, slips, and soft pearl lustres. The collection reflects a quiet balance of tradition and experimentation, where subtle surfaces hold depth, glow, and the traces of their making.
