Thrown on the wheel, I created this one of a kind jar/ vase using dark stoneware with an ash glaze using collected ash from local trees.

Shaped using traditional Korean techniques learned during my residency with master ceramic artist Kwak Kyungtae, these moon jars explore light — and all the light we cannot see. Each vessel is formed from recycled dark stoneware clays and finished with ash glazes, slips, and soft pearl lustres. The collection reflects a quiet balance of tradition and experimentation, where subtle surfaces hold depth, glow, and the traces of their making.
